Leon Methodist Episcopal Church	1880 This photo of the Leon, Kansas Methodist Episcopal Church is the original church built in Leon in 1880. The church burned down and a new church was built in 1909. Thomas and Miranda Rigg attended this church along with their children.

This picture of the rebuilt Methodist Episcopal Church in Leon, Kansas was taken on July 4, 1909. My father, Lauren Howard Rigg, the oldest son of Lauren Dale and Leola Palmer Rigg, was born on July 1, 1909. I have his cradle roll certificate dated December of 1909 which states that he was an official member of the cradle roll department and was 6 months of age. My father and his family attended this church. It was rebuilt again in 1959.	Methodist Episcopal Church
