John Albert Rigg was the brother of Thomas Townley Rigg. John was born to Townly and Phebe Rigg on January 11, 1830 in Wabash County, Illinois. He died on January 15, 1883 in Wabash County, Illinois. He was married to Sarah Eliza Risley. Her date of birth was March 6, 1840. She died on November 6, 1919 in Wabash County, Illinois. John and Sarah were married on July 11, 1858. According to research done by others, they had eight children: Allen, Ada, Anna Isabelle, Minnie, James Harlan, Mary, Ezra, and Clifford. The above photograph was previously attributed to Charles Rigg and his wife of which I had obtained a mimeographed copy of from Charlotte Rigg Nugent. But in light of finding this actual photograph which is identified by my grandfather, Lauren Dale Rigg, as his "uncle" John Albert Rigg and his wife from my grandfather's possessions I believe this to be a true account of who this is. Of course we can all agree to disagree but this is what I am standing with.
